Title: Stampede Breakfast assistance
Commitment: 4 hours
Duration: 1 day

Responsibilities: Assist with Stampede Breakfast activities. Activities may include grilling, children's activities, set up, clean up, etc.
Qualifications: Great family opportunity - all ages welcome with adult supervision for youths 12 years old and under

Program: Home Work Club
Title: Home Work Club Tutor
Commitment: One afternoon per week
Duration: Every Wednesday from 3:30pm - 5:00pm

Volunteer Date: September 2010 - June 2011
Responsibilities:
~ Assist school aged children with their schoolwork and prepare them for upcoming tests (i.e. practice printing words for an upcoming spelling test)
~ Assist the program facilitator with both set up before, and clean up after, the program
~ Assist the program facilitator with preparation of learning, social and recreational activities, games and materials
~ Keeping files, program materials and motivation system up to date and organized
Qualifications:
~ Strong communication and relationship building skills
~ Enjoy working with school-aged children with varying tutoring needs
~ Ability to work as part of a team
~ Ability to instruct, support and facilitate learning for children in a variety of topics and subjects; both formally and informally, such as through the use of play
~ Must be willing to maintain an awareness of the cultural/spiritual needs of the clients being served, and to incorporate the identified needs into the planning for clients and families
~ Interest in education and assisting children from varying backgrounds

Program: West Central Resource Centre
Title: Food Bank Pick Up
Commitment: One afternoon per week
Duration: Every Thursday morning from 10:45am - 12:30pm

Volunteer Date: asap
Responsibilities: Pick up donations of food from the food bank and transport food back to the resource centre
Qualifications: Volunteer will need a vehicle that can be loaded with 5-5 boxes of food

Program: Foster Care
Title: Youth mentor
Commitment: Once a week
Duration: Ongoing

Responsibilities:
~ Spend time with a young child in the community assisting with learning important social skills which will allow the youths to be more successful in their lives
~ Provide some assistance with elementary level math and reading
Qualifications:
~ A valid Alberta drivers license
~ Clean Criminal Record check
~ Clean Child Welfare Investigation report
